Calligraphy

My work and style is ever-evolving. I am constantly testing new techniques and experimenting with either new nibs, brushes, or mediums. Like most, I feel the need to see fresh ideas and designs. While traditional hands, such as Copperplate and Spencerian, remain more constant in reverence to their historical nature, my modern scripts are ever-evolving. Modern calligraphy practically begs the artist to add her personal interpretation and unique style to the party, and so I graciously accept that invitation!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CUSTOM CALLIGRAPHY IN WASHINGTON D.C.

A collaborative process

I am not only a calligrapher, but also an illustrator, and often marry the two art forms seamlessly within a single project. I pay great attention to detail and love capturing the heart of the story and emotion my client seeks to convey through my art. This can only be accomplished by asking insightful questions and listening carefully to responses.

MY REQUIRED PROJECT MINIMUM FOR CALLIGRAPHY PRODUCTION AND ILLUSTRATIVE WORK IS $250

Please note:

I consider it an honor to be a part of your special event and want you to be thrilled! Before contracting my services, please take a few minutes to browse my gallery to ensure you like and trust my artistic style and ability. The work I create for your project will be of the same quality as pictured on my website.

ARTISTIC STYLE

Please keep in mind that, unlike computer-generated text, the beauty of hand written calligraphy has a natural variation of the letter forms. My hand will not make each letter exactly the same every single time. These variations result in every piece being a unique work of art.

HANDWRITTEN WORK

As the artist, I remain the sole owner of all artistic rights. Commissioned art is for personal use only. Separate commercial licensing agreements are available.
